The Dodgers smacked three home runs and used eight relievers to accomplish something that they didn’t do last year–a defeat over the Los Angeles Angels.

On a beautiful Friday night at Big A, the Los Angeles Dodgers walloped the Los Angeles Angels, 6–0.

Before the game, the Dodgers scratched Blake Snell from his scheduled start and placed him on the IL with loose bodies in his pitching elbow. More details about the injury will follow. Snell underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left elbow to remove loose bodies in 2019 as a member of the Tampa Bay Rays. This year, he made only one start for the Dodgers because of a fatigued left shoulder.

Will Klein, Edgardo Henriquez, Blake Treinen, Kyle Hurt, Wyatt Mills, Alex Vesia, Jack Dreyer, and Charlie Barnes dominated the Angels. Each pitcher’s repertoire complemented the previous one. They struck out eleven while walking four.

Freddie Freeman rested.

After Will Smith singled and Kyle Tucker walked in the fourth inning, Andy Pages swatted a home run, and Max Muncy followed with a solo home run.

In the sixth inning, Muncy singled, and Teoscar Hernández followed with his first home run since April 15th.

On Saturday, the Dodgers will look to win the series with Justin Wrobleski on the mound.
