Shohei Ohtani sent the Los Angeles Dodgers to the World Series. He pitched six scoreless innings and blasted three solo home runs. The Dodgers swept the Milwaukee Brewers in the NLCS.

On a beautiful Friday night at Dodger Stadium, the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Milwaukee Brewers 5-to-1. Everything went the Dodgers’ way. The Dodgers scored three runs in the first inning and never looked back. Alex Vesia, Blake Treinen, Anthony Banda, and Roki Sasaki performed well in relief.

Shohei Ohtani struck out ten while issuing three walks in six innings. He didn’t let the Brewers begin a rally. When the Brewers got a runner, Ohtani shut them down.

Ohtani set the tone both on the mound and for the offense. Before this game, Ohtani was stuck in the worst slump as a Dodger. He blasted a solo home run in the first. After a walk in the second, Ohtani hit the ball out of Dodger Stadium in the fourth. In the seventh, he hit another.

While baseball is a team sport, Shohei Ohtani put the Dodgers on his back and propelled them to the World Series. Before the game, no one knew who would be the MVP in the NLCS. Blake Snell? Yoshinobu Yamamoto? No. Shohei Ohtani’s game earned him the MVP of the NLCS.
