Finally, no stress playoff game for the Los Angeles Dodgers! Yoshinobu Yamamoto pitched the first complete game in the postseason for the Dodgers since José Lima did in 2004. The Dodgers’ 5-to-1 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers gave them a 2-0 lead in the NLCS.

Since the beginning of the NLCS, the Dodger starters – Blake Snell and Yoshinobu Yamamoto -, the Brewers haven’t had a runner in scoring position. Yamamoto was brilliant. He allowed only three hits, including a solo home run to Jackson Chourio. He struck out seven and had 17 groundouts. The Brewers couldn’t stop swinging at his devastating splitter. He gave the Dodgers’ bullpen a well-deserved rest.

Teoscar Hernández homered in the second. After Kiké Hernández singled, Andy Pages, who just arrived at the postseason offensively, doubled in Kiké Hernández. After the second, the Dodgers cruised to victory.

The Dodgers wasted many scoring opportunities, but they scored enough to give Yamamoto a comfortable lead. In the sixth, Max Muncy homered. In the seventh, after Kiké Hernández doubled, Shohei Ohtani, who finally arrived at the postseason offensively, singled in Hernández. Tommy Edman drove in another run in the eighth.

The Dodgers had a relaxing win.
