The San Diego Padres lost, so did the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Dodgers’ lead remained two games in the National League Western Division.

On a hot Friday night at Dodger Stadium, the Arizona Diamondbacks shut out the Dodgers 3-to-0. Blake Snell allowed three runs on four hits and three walks while striking out eight in 5.1 innings. Ben Casparius, Anthony Banda, Kirby Yates, and Jack Dreyer pitched well in relief. The Dodgers had only three hits.
