On a beautiful Saturday afternoon at Oracle Park, the Los Angeles Dodgers snapped their seven-game losing streak by edging out the San Francisco Giants 2-to-1. Shohei Ohtani, Emmet Sheehan, Alex Vesia, and Tanner Scott were brilliant. The Dodgers just got enough offense to win!

Shohei Ohtani was excellent in his three innings. He used his fastball more than usual since the Giants aren’t a good fastball-hitting team. He struck out four while walking a batter and allowing a single. He used only 36 pitches.

Emmet Sheehan continued the dominance of the Giants. For 4.1 innings, he continued using his fastball more than usual, but the Giants couldn’t hit it. He allowed two hits and walked three while striking out three. He couldn’t get out of the eighth and loaded the bases.

Alex Vesia came into the bases-loaded situation and allowed only a sacrifice fly.

After blowing a save in Milwaukee, Tanner Scott was awesome in the ninth when he faced the minimum with two strikeouts.

The Dodgers didn’t have much offense but enough to end the losing streak. To start the second, Michael Conforto had an infield single, moved to third on Andy Pages’ single, and scored on Tommy Edman’s ground out. In the sixth, Conforto singled, and Pages walked. Hyeseong Kim singled to drive in Conforto.
