The Dodgers had two three-run innings to propel them to a 9–4 victory over the Athletics in Sacramento.

Playing in a minor league stadium was interesting for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Eric Lauer was victimized by soft contact. In the second inning, the A’s scored three runs because of soft contact finding holes. Lauer pitched outstandingly, using his off-speed pitches to baffle his opponent. In his six innings, he struck out three while walking one.

The Dodgers’ offense produced throughout the game. They had three home runs by Max Muncy, Andy Pages, and Shohei Ohtani. Every Dodger in the original lineup had at least one hit.

Kyle Hurt rebounded from a difficult outing in San Diego to strike out the side in the seventh inning.

Jonathan Hernández pitched a scoreless eighth inning but struggled in the ninth inning. Jack Dreyer came in the inning to finish the game though he allowed an RBI single.

Teoscar Hernández returned to the lineup on Monday after missing a month with a hamstring strain. He had two singles and scored a run. When the Dodgers activated Hernández, they demoted Ryan Ward.

Justin Wrobleski will need to try to strike out hitters on Tuesday. He will try to give Dave Roberts his 1000th victory in his managerial career. He has the highest winning percentage in history.
