Justin Wrobleski was brilliant for seven innings, and the Dodgers received four solo home runs.

On a beautiful Friday night at Dodger Stadium, the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Philadelphia Phillies, 4–2. They dominated the 2025 NLDS rematch.

Wrobleski began the season in the bullpen, and many pundits wanted him to remain there. The Dodgers viewed him as a starter. He has rewarded his team.

In his three previous starts, Wrobleski had struggled but on Friday, he took advantage of the Phillies’ aggressiveness. He struck out nine while walking none while incorporating his curveball more than in any other start this season and showing increased velocity. The only hit that he allowed in seven innings was a solo home run to Kyle Schwarber.

Eduardo Henriquez, who has been brilliant in May, struggled and allowed a run. Alex Vesia and Tanner Scott were sharp in relief.

Freddie Freeman, Max Muncy, Shohei Ohtani, and Will Smith had solo home runs. Ohtani had three hits, including his homer.

Before this game, the Dodgers demoted slumping Hyeseong Kim to Oklahoma City and reclaimed Santiago Espinal. According to Dave Roberts, Kim needs to work on keeping his legs under him in the batting stance and on his bunting skills while in Triple-A.

Teoscar Hernández has a Grade 1 left hamstring strain. Nobody knows when he can return to the active roster. According to Dave Roberts, Ryan Ward will have the bulk of the work in left field though Alex Call played.

The Dodgers will look to win the series on Saturday with Roki Sasaki on the mound.
