No Kyle Tucker. No Freddie Freeman. No Hyeseong Kim. No problem for the Dodgers.
On a beautiful Monday night at Coors Field, the Los Angeles Dodgers earned a split by defeating the Colorado Rockies, 12–3.
Max Muncy and Dalton Rushing each belted two home runs. Miguel Rojas added a solo shot in the second inning. The Dodgers also manufactured runs and took advantage of Kyle Karros’ fielding error.
Despite allowing a first-inning run, Justin Wrobleski was dominant over seven innings. He allowed eight hits, but the Rockies couldn’t capitalize on them. His command was perfect, walking none. He struck out three. His efficiency helped to rest a weary bullpen, which lost Edwin Díaz for months to right elbow surgery to remove loose bodies.
Eduardo Henriquez pitched a solid eighth inning.
Jake Eder, promoted on Monday to take Díaz’s roster spot, pitched the ninth inning and allowed two runs.
The Dodgers will travel to San Francisco to face the Giants.
