On a warm Wednesday afternoon at Camelback Ranch, the Los Angeles Dodgers beat Team Mexico 7-to-5.
Andy Pages has performed well this spring. He has a .333 batting average after a disappointing offensive performance in the 2025 postseason. He had a solo home run and a double on Wednesday. At 25, he is expected to be the everyday center fielder for the Dodgers.
Tyler Glasnow was sharp before he fatigued in the third. He threw 50 pitches and walked one. He allowed two stolen bases, but his 6-foot-8 frame makes it difficult to have a fast delivery to the plate. With Blake Snell expected to begin the season on the IL, Glasnow looks to be the second starter in the Dodgers’ rotation.
For the first time this spring, Emmet Sheehan appeared in a game and didn’t go as planned. An illness prevented him from participating earlier in camp. Another year removed from Tommy John surgery, he is expected to have a major role in the rotation. In 2025, he appeared in 15 games with a 6-3 record and a 2.82 ERA. The Dodgers expect Sheehan to be a reliable starter in 2026.
The game prepared Team Mexico for the World Baseball Classic. The Dodgers got their work in while helping the World Baseball Classic become more competitive.
