Tyler Glasnow woke up this morning with back tightness, and the Dodgers decided to skip him. Glasnow has a long history of back problems. The Dodgers think the latest is minor, and they scheduled Glasnow to start on Monday against the Colorado Rockies. Shohei Ohtani, who was scratched from his Wednesday start, agreed to take Glasnow’s start. He feels better than he did on Wednesday. Ohtani has a chest cold.

On a beautiful Friday night at Camden Yards, the Los Angeles Dodgers lost to the Baltimore Orioles 2-to-1. Tanner Scott gave up a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth. The Dodgers’ pitching staff of Shohei Ohtani, Anthony Banda, Ben Casparius, Jack Dreyer, Blake Treinen, and Michael Kopech was great. Freddie Freeman hit a solo home run in the seventh.

Dalton Rushing was carried off the field after fouling off his shin. Will Smith can’t play because of a bruised hand. Rushing had negative x-rays, but he left the clubhouse on crutches. Tomorrow, he will have a CT scan.

Last year, Tanner Scott allowed only three home runs, but this year he has allowed ten. He must improve.
