On a picturesque but hot Wednesday afternoon at Dodger Stadium, the Los Angeles Dodgers finished their disappointing home stand with a dramatic ninth-inning 4-to-3 win over the Minnesota Twins.

Tyler Glasnow gave the Dodgers what they needed. Seven strong innings.  He struck out twelve hitters. He allowed a solo home run. Glasnow gave the Dodger fatigued bullpen a break. Since Glasnow returned from the IL, he has been brilliant. On Wednesday, Glasnow allowed three hits and issued a walk.

Shohei Ohtani hit a home run in his fifth consecutive game. His 37 home runs led the National League and tied him with many Dodgers for the most home runs before August 1st.

Kirby Yates walked the bases loaded without retiring a batter. Alex Vesia came in the eighth and allowed a hit that scored two runs but pitched well. Anthony Banda pitched the ninth and allowed a mere hit.

In the seventh, Freddie Freeman singled and stole second. Andy Pages and Miguel Rojas walked. Tommy Edman singled in Freeman.

With two outs in the ninth, Mookie Betts reached on an infield single. Ohtani was intentionally walked. Esteury Ruiz worked out a walk to load the bases. Freeman singled in Betts and Ohtani.
