On a cool Tuesday evening at Oracle Park, the Los Angeles Dodgers smashed the injured San Francisco Giants 10-to-2.  For the fourth start, Gavin Stone went six innings and allowed one  run. The Dodgers had nine extra-base hits, and Shohei Ohtani had three hits.

With two outs in the first, Freddie Freeman reached third on an outfielder error but was stranded.

While Gavin Stone allowed a leadoff double, he retired the next six batters.

After James Outman walked, he stole second and went to third on an error but was erased on a double play in the third inning.

In the third, Stone allowed a single and an infield single but worked out of a jam.

To open the fourth, Shohei Ohtani blasted a 446-foot shot.  Freeman and Will Smith walked. Teoscar Hernández’s double scored Freeman, and Max Muncy’s sac fly scored Smith. Gavin Lux tripled in Hernández.

Stone hurled a perfect fourth against the Giants, which are weakened by injuries.

Mookie Betts had a single to open the fifth and moved to second on Ohtani’s single. Smith singled in Betts.

Despite allowing a couple of baserunners in the fifth, Stone pitched a scoreless inning.

Thanks to a wild pitch, the Giants scored a run in the sixth, but Stone finished six innings in his fourth consecutive start.

Betts tripled to open the seventh and scored on Ohtani’s double.

J.P. Feyereisen hurled a perfect seventh.

Gus Varland, despite traffic, pitched a scoreless eighth.

Outman doubled and scored on Miguel Rojas’ double in the ninth. Freeman and Hernández doubled.
